A elderly woman in the supermarket was struggling with buying a pie because she wasn't able to afford the $8. I helped her get a store clerk to price check and it was less than the $8 she thought it might be so it was a go. While leaving I thought, this woman worked her whole life and she wouldn't have been able to get a pie. I turned back asked if it would be okay if I treated her to the pie. She was so tickled and so grateful. I was so happy and so grateful to have put that giant smile on this woman's face. It was a great day to be alive.
I speak to a homeless disabled man every morning in passing. Every now and then he inquires about my outerwear because he says I always look cold. Yesterday he asked about the location of my hat and I told him I was going to buy one this weekend.... Today in passing he gave me a brand new hat. This is by far the nicest most selfless act anyone has ever done for me. He would benefit more because he sits in 30-40 degree weather for hours but he gave it to me so I can remain warm. #actsofkindness
